WTF happened to the Contender?

I wasn’t a fan of the first two seasons where the focus was on boxing, but The Contender Asia aka The Contender Muay Thai was a good show. At least it was until the Versus network decided that they would stop airing the show right before the semi-finals. Turns out that they are streaming the rest of the season. Uh, yeah that makes all kind of sense. Sucks to have had to search the web to see the remaining episodes. Sucks worse not to see them in HD. In my search I came across news that the show was picked up for a second season. Looks to start filming in Feb 2009. Not sure who will be airing it.
